Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. The RRT will assess respiratory status, administer therapeutic treatments, manage advanced respiratory support equipment, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and other prescribed respiratory therapies
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen systems, and other respiratory support equipment
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and assist with interpretation of results
- Assist with airway management, intubation, extubation, bronchoscopy, and emergency respiratory procedures
- Perform pulmonary function testing (PFT) and other respiratory diagnostic procedures as assigned
- Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, medications, breathing techniques, and home respiratory equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Active, unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice (where required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required or preferred based on assignment
- PALS and NRP certifications preferred for pediatric or neonatal assignments
- Minimum 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management, airway management, respiratory pharmacology, and critical care practices
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and patient care skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$60.91 - $65.79/hour
