Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide respiratory care to patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary conditions. The RT will assess patients, administer respiratory treatments, manage respiratory equipment, and support patients with acute and chronic respiratory needs.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ respiratory and cardiopulmonary status.
- Provide oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory therapies.
- Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and other respiratory support equipment.
- Perform airway management, suctioning, and other respiratory procedures as required.
- Monitor patient response to treatments and report changes in condition.
- Assist with emergency airway and respiratory interventions.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and treatment plans.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately.
- Follow infection control, safety, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Respiratory Therapist license as required by the state.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous respiratory therapy experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- BLS/ACLS certification as applicable.
Pay Rate
$55.89 - $60.77/hour
