Job Title: Registered Pharmacist

Position Summary

The Registered Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This role includes accurately dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients on medication use, collaborating with healthcare providers, and supporting patient wellness through clinical and community pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy regulations
  • Counsel patients regarding medication usage, dosage instructions, side effects, and potential drug interactions
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate prescription records and patient profiles while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Conduct health screenings and administer immunizations as needed
  • Participate in community health and wellness initiatives
  • Monitor medication safety and support quality assurance standards within the pharmacy
  • Stay current with new medications, therapies, and pharmaceutical advancements
  • Provide medication education and support to patients and pharmacy staff

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution required
  • Active Registered Pharmacist license in the applicable state required
  • Previous retail or clinical pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and pharmacy operations preferred
  • Commitment to professional development and ethical pharmacy practice

Pay Rate
$40.80 - $68.00/hour
