Float Required: Y - other m/s units
Weekend Coverage: EOW
# Weekend Shifts per Contract: either every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts/month
Locals Accepted? N - must be > 75 miles
Patient Diagnoses: Most surgical pt.'s end up on this unit. They have a joint center of excellence on this unit. They see hip, knee, shoulder replacements. They also see a lot of general surgery cases; appy's, exploratory laps, hernias, etc. They take medical pt.'s as well that require telementry.
Age range spans and treat diseases of all ages adolescents to elderly. This M/S unit is only M/S unit with wall suction so would take all SBO's.
Special Procedures/Unit Details: This unit uses the care delivery model which is 1 RN, 1 LPN, 1 PCT per 9 pt.'s. They use "modified teams" when full teams are not available.
Special Equipment: They have wall suction so any pt.'s requiring suction go to this unit.
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
Previous Charge Experience: preferred
Years of Experience Required: 2
Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler: Y
Scrubs: any combination of navy blue and/or white
Pay Rate
$57.56 - $62.44/hour
