Job Description – RN Med Surg
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, administering treatments and medications, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and promptly report changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience with EMR documentation and acute care settings is preferred.
Pay Rate
$50.92 - $55.80/hour
