Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. The Med-Surg RN will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and promptly communicate concerns to the healthcare team
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, post-discharge care, and disease prevention
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Coordinate patient care with physicians, therapists, case managers, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members
Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and discharge planning
Respond appropriately to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when necessary
Supervise and delegate patient care activities to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Nursing Assistants as appropriate
Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
Promote a compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care environment while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality

Required Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
Current BLS/CPR certification required
ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices, patient assessment, medication administration, and evidence-based care
Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality nursing care

Pay Rate
$50.92 - $55.80/hour
