POSITION: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

• Shift hours/Contract Length: 7a-7p ALT 7p-7a; 13 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• On Call Requirement: None
• Charting: EPIC experience required; Non-Epic-CPN/Client Centricity
• RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission
• Call off Policy: The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted. Locals accepted for LPN's
REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Pending License Accepted: No, Must have an active New York Single State RN or LPN license. (NY is not Compact)
• Required Certifications: OB-ACLS or ACLS, BLS, EFM certification, NRP
REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

• Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Recover C-Section, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin, Terbutaline)
• APGAR scores, Baby Nurse (“Baby Catcher”), ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation
• Foley catheter insertion/management, Fundus/lochia/perineum care, Post Partum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension
• NST(Non Stress Tests), Use of EFM(External Fetal Heart Monitoring),Use of IUPC(Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration
UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Unit Details: All pregnant patients at any gestational age accepted by the provider team are cared for. Triage evaluates all pregnant patients at any gestational age and all postpartum patients within 6 weeks of delivery.
• Client Fetal & Telemetry Monitors; "Monica" wireless fetal monitoring; Neopuff; Draeger newborn warmers
• Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
• Scrub Color: Hospital Provided
