Position Summary
An Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse provides rapid assessment, treatment, and stabilization for patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions. The ER RN delivers high-quality emergency care, prioritizes patients based on acuity, and collaborates with the healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on patient acuity.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
- Assist with trauma care, resuscitation, and emergency procedures.
- Operate and monitor emergency medical equipment.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, EMS personnel, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS,ACLS,PALS and NIHSS certification required.
Pay Rate
$47.07 - $51.95/hour
