Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and overall condition while providing comprehensive nursing care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patients' cardiac status.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Perform wound care and other nursing procedures as required.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly report significant findings.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and facility policies.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous Med/Surg and Telemetry experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Pay Rate
$43.73 - $48.60/hour
