Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical to join a fast-paced Rapid Admission Unit caring for general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures. The ideal candidate is an independent, adaptable nurse with strong communication skills who can manage a 5–6:1 patient ratio while delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
Provide nursing care for general medical and pre-surgical patients.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
Current BLS certification.

Pay Rate
$42.61 - $47.49/hour
