Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical to work on a Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) caring for general medical and surgical patients. The RN will provide direct patient care in a structured, fast-paced environment. Travel RNs will be responsible for patient care only and will not be responsible for educating or training students.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Assist with pre- and post-operative patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical experience.
- Current BLS certification.
Pay Rate
$43.73 - $48.60/hour
