Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) assignment. This position is on a Dedicated Education Unit; however, travel nurses will not be responsible for teaching or educating. The primary responsibility is providing direct patient care to Med/Surg patients.

Job Details

Unit: Dedicated Education Unit (Direct Patient Care Only)
Patient Population: Mixed Medical/Surgical
Unit Size: 30 Beds
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5–6:1

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition while ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience.
Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or a mid- to large-sized hospital is required.
Current BLS certification (Required).
ACLS certification (Preferred).
Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and punctuality are essential.
No RTO (Requested Time Off) will be accepted for this assignment.

Pay Rate
$43.73 - $48.60/hour
