Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, adaptable Registered Nurse to join our 30-bed Medical/Surgical unit on a travel contract. While this floor functions as a Dedicated Education Unit (DEU), travel nurses will focus strictly on delivering high-quality bedside care to a mixed Med/Surg patient population and will not have teaching or educating responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive direct patient care to a diverse Med/Surg population, maintaining a patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1.
Conduct continuous patient assessments, develop tailored care plans, and administer medications and treatments accurately.
Collaborate efficiently with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and discharge planning.
Maintain clean, detailed, and timely electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with facility standards.
Bring a positive, professional attitude and maintain strict adherence to schedule reliability and punctuality.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience, with documented time in a Level 1 Trauma Center or a mid-to-large hospital setting.
Certifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS required; ACLS preferred.
Scheduling: Must have flexible availability; no Requested Time Off (RTO) will be accepted for this assignment.
Core Competencies: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a team-first mindset.
Pay Rate
$45.89 - $50.77/hour
