Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients with complex medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions. The ICU RN will perform comprehensive assessments, administer advanced treatments, monitor life-support therapies, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans for critically ill patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, neurological function, respiratory status, and vital signs
- Administer medications, IV infusions, vasoactive drips, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
- Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and advanced life-support therapies
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and invasive monitoring devices
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, code blue events, and rapid response situations
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and emergency interventions
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$50.56 - $55.44/hour
