Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) to provide specialized surgical assistance and perioperative nursing care. The RNFA will assist surgeons during procedures, support patient safety, and help coordinate care before, during, and after surgery.
Responsibilities
Assist surgeons with surgical procedures according to established protocols.
Perform first-assist duties such as tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, and suturing as permitted.
Prepare and position patients safely for surgical procedures.
Maintain a sterile surgical field and follow aseptic techniques.
Anticipate surgical needs and ensure appropriate instruments and supplies are available.
Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the surgical team.
Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care.
Support surgical counts, specimen handling, and accurate documentation.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other perioperative staff.
Follow infection control, patient safety, and professional surgical standards.
Pay Rate
$110.01 - $114.89/hour
