Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department to provide exceptional care for patients with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and medical emergencies. The RN will perform rapid assessments, prioritize patient care, administer treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, timely, and patient-centered emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on patient acuity
- Provide emergency nursing care for patients with medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment
- Assist with trauma activations, resuscitations, code blue events, and emergency procedures
- Operate emergency equipment, including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and defibrillators
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current PALS certification preferred or required based on assignment
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) or Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, and critical care principles
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
