Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced RN Clinical Education Manager to lead nursing education, staff development, and clinical competency programs. This role will develop educational initiatives, assess learning needs, ensure staff competency, and promote evidence-based clinical practices and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs for nursing staff.
- Assess educational and competency needs across clinical departments.
- Create orientation, onboarding, continuing education, and competency programs.
- Coordinate new-hire clinical orientation and ongoing staff development.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, simulations, and skills assessments.
- Maintain and evaluate nursing competencies and required clinical skills.
- Promote evidence-based nursing practices and current clinical standards.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to identify education priorities.
- Monitor education outcomes and implement improvements as needed.
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of staff education, competencies, and training completion.
- Assist with policy development and updates based on current clinical standards.
- Mentor and support nurses in professional development and career advancement.
- Stay current with healthcare regulations, clinical guidelines, and nursing education best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Previous nursing education, staff development, or clinical leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, clinical competencies, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent presentation, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective clinical education programs.
- Experience with EMR, learning management systems, and electronic education platforms preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MSN in Nursing Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential preferred.
- Experience developing competency-based education programs.
- Experience with simulation, clinical skills training, and staff evaluations.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and other healthcare regulatory standards.
- Strong quality improvement and patient safety experience.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and high-quality patient care.
Pay Rate
$98.58 - $103.46/hour
