Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray examinations and produce high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. The technologist will safely operate imaging equipment, position patients, follow radiation safety standards, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Verify patient identity, clinical history, and examination requirements.
- Explain procedures and properly position patients for imaging.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Select appropriate technical factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Evaluate images for positioning, quality, and diagnostic value.
- Repeat images when necessary to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout procedures.
- Follow radiation protection and ALARA principles.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography required.
- Active state Radiologic Technologist license where applicable.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent radiology experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, positioning, radiation protection, and radiographic procedures.
- Excellent communication, technical, and patient-care skills.
- Experience with EMR and PACS systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hospital, emergency, trauma, outpatient, or inpatient imaging settings.
- Experience with portable X-ray and surgical/C-arm imaging preferred.
- Knowledge of digital radiography and fluoroscopy preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced imaging environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
