Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. The Ultrasound Technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, obtain diagnostic images, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols
• Obtain high-quality images of abdominal, vascular, obstetric, gynecologic, small parts, musculoskeletal, cardiac, or other anatomy as required by the assignment
• Verify patient identity, review medical history, and explain examination procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding
• Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and dignity
• Evaluate image quality and complete appropriate measurements and documentation for physician interpretation
• Recognize abnormal findings and communicate urgent results to the interpreting physician following facility protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
• Perform routine quality assurance checks and basic maintenance of ultrasound equipment; report equipment issues promptly
• Maintain patient privacy while following infection prevention, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
• Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures as required within the scope of practice
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment while adhering to facility policies and regulatory standards


Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program
• Current ARDMS, ARRT (Sonography), CCI, or equivalent certification required based on assignment requirements
• Active state licensure where required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques, anatomy, physiology, patient care, and imaging protocols
• Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality diagnostic imaging services

Pay Rate
$66.06 - $70.94/hour
