Job Details

Position Summary:
An Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive, image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The IR Tech prepares patients and equipment, operates advanced imaging systems, maintains a sterile environment, and ensures patient safety throughout procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare procedure rooms, imaging equipment, and sterile supplies for interventional procedures.
Assist physicians during vascular and non-vascular image-guided procedures.
Operate fluoroscopy, digital imaging, and other radiologic equipment.
Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort and safety throughout procedures.
Administer contrast media as permitted by facility policy and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards.
Monitor and document patient information before, during, and after procedures.
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure proper handling and maintenance of imaging equipment and supplies.
Accurately document procedures using the facility's electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Active ARRT (R) certification.
State Radiologic Technologist license (if required by the state).
Current BLS certification.

Pay Rate
$81.77 - $86.65/hour
