Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)

Description:

Traveler's permanent address must be greater than 50 miles from the facility. *Special radius rule for this role only*


•Position: VIR Tech
•Shift: 4x10's (0700-1730); every other holiday
•Call: every 3rd weekend and 1-2 nights per week
*Traveler will train at Riverside for 2wks (also in Columbus)
*Traveler will float to Grant approximately 2 days per month


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (4047):
•2 years of experience
•Graduate of an accredited radiography program
•ARRT - Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
•ODH Ohio Radiologic License (PENDING License OK)
•BLS Certification (ACLS preferred)
•Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, medical terminology. MUST have neuro experience.
•Must be willing to assist training permanent staff

Neurological Studies/Procedures that we look for include but are not limited to the following with the most relative:
Angioplasty
Carotid Angiography
Cerebral Angiography
Discogram
Embolization
Spinal arteriography
Stent placement
Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
Vertebroplasty
Job Summary
The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures. The technologist must become competent as the scrub assistant to the Interventional Radiologist performing invasive procedures. They must maintain competency in the operating and use of angiographic fluoroscopy, ultrasound and CT (both Diagnostic and Interventional uses) and be able to manage 1500 products in the inventory of the lab. The technologist assists in performing many NeuroInterventional surgical procedures such as cerebral aneurysm coilings, avascular malformations and stroke interventions. Oncology procedures performed in the lab includes, but is not limited to biopsies of various organs, chemo embolizations and Y-90 Radiopharmaceutical Therapies. The technologist also assists with uterine artery embolizations, venous lysis of tumors, vertebroplasties, infusion pump placements/revisions, radiofrequency ablations and other peripheral vascular interventions, including lysis and clot removal. This department performs over 20,000 procedures annually.

Pay Rate
$86.50 - $91.38/hour
