Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic/Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray and mammography examinations with a strong focus on image quality, radiation safety, and patient care. The technologist will accurately position patients, operate imaging equipment, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiography and mammography examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and explain procedures to patients while maintaining comfort and privacy.
  • Operate X-ray and mammography equipment safely and effectively.
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and verify image quality before submission.
  • Perform appropriate breast positioning and imaging techniques for screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • Assist with additional breast imaging procedures as required.
  • Review patient history and clinical information prior to examinations.
  • Apply appropriate radiation protection and dose-reduction techniques.
  • Monitor patients for discomfort or adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Upload and manage images through PACS and applicable imaging systems.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
  • Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, radiation safety, and patient safety standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required.
  • ARRT Mammography (M) certification or eligibility preferred/required based on assignment.
  • Active state license or registration where required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent radiography and/or mammography experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, positioning, imaging techniques, and radiation safety.
  • Excellent technical, communication, attention-to-detail, and patient-care skills.
  • Experience with PACS and EMR systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ARRT(R)(M) credentials preferred.
  • Experience with screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • Experience with breast imaging, specimen imaging, or related procedures preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mammography quality standards and radiation dose optimization.
  • Experience in hospital, outpatient, or diagnostic imaging settings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a patient-focused imaging environment.
  • Commitment to compassionate and respectful patient care.

Pay Rate
$71.90 - $76.78/hour
