Radiation Therapist
Position Summary
We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to provide accurate and compassionate care to patients receiving radiation therapy. The therapist will prepare and position patients, operate treatment equipment, deliver prescribed treatments, and monitor patients throughout the treatment process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiation therapy procedures.
- Review treatment plans and verify patient information before treatment.
- Position and immobilize patients accurately for treatment.
- Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment.
- Deliver prescribed radiation treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report changes or concerns.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and clinical documentation.
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient-care procedures.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Educate and support patients throughout their treatment.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state license or registration as applicable.
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous radiation therapy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and treatment procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$9,120.00 - $9,120.00/year
