Radiation Therapist
Position Summary
We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to provide safe and accurate radiation treatments to patients undergoing cancer therapy. The therapist will operate radiation equipment, position patients, and work closely with the oncology team to deliver treatment according to prescribed plans.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for scheduled radiation treatments.
- Position and immobilize patients accurately according to treatment plans.
- Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment.
- Deliver prescribed radiation treatments safely and accurately.
- Verify treatment plans, patient information, and treatment parameters.
- Monitor patients during treatments and report changes or concerns.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control procedures.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Provide patient education, support, and comfort throughout treatment.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state license or registration as required.
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous radiation therapy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, treatment procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$9,120.00 - $9,120.00/year
