Radiation Therapist
Provide specialized radiation therapy to patients undergoing treatment for cancer and other conditions. The Radiation Therapist will operate treatment equipment, deliver prescribed radiation doses, monitor patients, and work closely with radiation oncologists and the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiation therapy and verify treatment plans.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment safely.
- Deliver prescribed radiation treatments accurately and consistently.
- Position and immobilize patients according to treatment plans.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report changes or concerns.
- Follow radiation safety and quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and clinical documentation.
- Provide patient education and emotional support throughout treatment.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Current Radiation Therapist license or certification as required by the state.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- ARRT certification preferred or required based on state requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced oncology environment.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
