Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to provide safe and precise radiation treatments to patients undergoing cancer therapy. The Radiation Therapist will operate radiation therapy equipment, position patients accurately, follow treatment plans, monitor patients during treatment, and work closely with radiation oncologists and the oncology care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review treatment plans and prepare patients for scheduled radiation therapy.
  • Accurately position and immobilize patients according to treatment plans.
  • Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform imaging and treatment verification procedures as required.
  • Administer prescribed radiation treatments according to established protocols.
  • Monitor patients during treatment and recognize potential adverse reactions or changes in condition.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions regarding treatment procedures and care.
  • Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation in the EMR.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
  • Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient safety standards.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout the treatment process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related accredited program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (RT(T)) required/preferred based on assignment requirements.
  • Active state license or registration where required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Radiation Therapy experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, treatment planning, anatomy, and radiation safety.
  • Excellent technical, communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
  • Experience with EMR and radiation oncology systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with linear accelerators and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT).
  • Experience with IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, or other advanced treatment techniques.
  • Knowledge of treatment verification and quality assurance procedures.
  • Previous oncology or radiation treatment center experience.
  • Strong patient education and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary oncology environment.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered cancer care.

Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
