Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to provide safe and accurate radiation treatments to patients with cancer and other conditions requiring radiation therapy. The therapist will operate specialized equipment, position patients, deliver prescribed treatments, monitor patient response, and work closely with radiation oncologists and the multidisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify radiation treatment plans and prescribed treatment parameters.
- Accurately position and immobilize patients for radiation therapy.
- Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment safely.
- Deliver prescribed radiation treatments according to established protocols.
- Perform imaging and treatment verification procedures as required.
- Monitor patients during treatment and identify changes or adverse reactions.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment procedures, safety, and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation in the EMR.
- Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient safety standards.
- Perform equipment quality checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) required.
- Active state Radiation Therapist license where applicable.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Radiation Therapy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, patient positioning, treatment delivery, and radiation safety.
- Excellent communication, technical, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
- Experience with EMR and radiation oncology treatment systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with linear accelerators, IGRT, IMRT, VMAT, and image-guided treatment.
- Experience with CT simulation and treatment planning workflows.
- Knowledge of radiation oncology protocols and quality assurance procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary oncology team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
