Radiation Oncology Technologist

Position Summary

We are seeking a Radiation Oncology Technologist to provide safe and accurate technical support for patients receiving radiation therapy. The technologist will prepare and position patients, operate treatment equipment, assist with treatment delivery, and work closely with the radiation oncology team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients for radiation therapy procedures.
Operate radiation treatment and imaging equipment according to established protocols.
Assist with the delivery of prescribed radiation treatments.
Verify patient identity, treatment site, and treatment parameters before procedures.
Perform imaging and treatment verification procedures as required.
Monitor patients during treatment and report changes or concerns.
Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety standards.
Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
Provide patients with clear instructions and supportive care throughout treatment.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy or applicable credential.
Current state license or registration, where required.
Previous radiation oncology or radiation therapy experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and treatment procedures.
Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.

Pay Rate
$90.96 - $95.83/hour
