Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist (CT/X-Ray Tech) to perform both Computed Tomography (CT) and diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures. The technologist will produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform CT scans and diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
Prepare, position, and educate patients for imaging procedures
Operate and maintain CT and digital radiography equipment safely and efficiently
Administer contrast media when appropriate and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy
Follow radiation safety practices and maintain ALARA principles
Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Radiology Information System (RIS)
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care
Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance concerns
Maintain compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and departmental policies
Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required
ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required or obtained within the timeframe specified by the facility
Active state radiologic technologist license, if required
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent CT and diagnostic X-ray experience preferred
Strong knowledge of CT imaging, radiographic procedures, anatomy, radiation safety, and contrast administration
Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
