How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 8 Carestream fit/compass, 1 Siemens portable, 1 EOS
Will they have to float/cover any other areas? No- will be assigned a Pod that is speciality specific- this will be one that they are proficient and comfortable in (this will be assessed during orientation)
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties "Orthopedic weightbearing films and ortho package (leg length and scolosis)
Do everything but soft tissue, abdomen work, and chest"
Experience or 'Must have' skills "Highly prefer at least 3 plus years of experience, okay with first time traveler
Prefer someone with weightbearing orthopedic xray experience
Prefer ambulatory clinic experience "
Average # of scans/studies per day Each tech will do between 15-25 (techs will never be working alone)
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EPIC and Change Healthcare
Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) Carestream, Siemens, EOS – all xray
Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift? Manager and Lead Tech
Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)? no
Radiologist in-house? no- Ortho MDs read own images
Do they have to start IVs? (if applicable to the department) no
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) "Clinic is open M-F 730-5
Varying start times based off of MDs schedules
Manager will do schedule"

Call or Standby requirement? Response time? no
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? "Any color of scrubs as long as clean and professional
Prefer not to have a lot of red"
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 1 day with educator and then 1 week in the sports area with a team member for orientation of workflow and systems
Additional Notes "Have a staff of 22 – looking for someone able to work with a range of personalities
Have 42 providers and APPs
All rooms are ""dual rooms""- 2 x-ray rooms hooked together (2 techs per room)
Very team oriented culture, receive positive feedback from travelers on the culture (must be a team environment person and want to be willing to be part of a team)
X-rays are feast or famine, nothing is preschedule. They are scheduled day of depending on type of MD in that day."

Pay Rate
$66.76 - $71.64/hour
