Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Contractor to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for software applications. The contractor will work closely with development and product teams to identify defects, improve test coverage, and ensure reliable, high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Analyze requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform API testing and validate application data and integrations.
- Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and reusable testing components.
- Analyze test results and troubleshoot failures.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to resolve issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to QA best practices.
- Prepare test reports and communicate quality risks and findings.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and automation coverage.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in software QA and test automation.
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or another programming language.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized testing.
- Experience with performance or security testing is a plus.
- Strong ability to work independently in a contract environment.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
