Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and assigned physical therapy interventions.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, gait, balance, and strengthening activities.
- Perform range-of-motion and functional exercises.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients on exercises and home programs as directed.
- Assist with gait training and use of appropriate assistive devices.
- Document treatments and patient progress accurately.
- Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license or certification as applicable.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively with the healthcare team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Pay Rate
$41.41 - $46.29/hour
