Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist with treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and patient progress.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, stretching, and mobility activities.
- Assist patients with strength, balance, coordination, and functional activities.
- Monitor patient responses and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients on exercises and safe movement techniques.
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, and use of therapeutic equipment.
- Document treatments and patient progress accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license or certification as required by the state.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Pay Rate
$37.60 - $42.48/hour
