Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients with exercises, mobility, and therapeutic activities to improve function, strength, and independence.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, and mobility activities.
- Provide gait, transfer, and balance training.
- Assist with the use of therapeutic equipment and modalities as directed.
- Monitor patient progress, tolerance, and response to treatment.
- Educate patients on exercises, mobility, and safe movement techniques.
- Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately.
- Maintain a safe and supportive treatment environment.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the Physical Therapist.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and patient-care standards.
Qualifications:
- Current PTA license or certification as required.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Previous clinical or healthcare experience preferred.
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, mobility, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively as part of a therapy team.
- Compassionate, dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$37.60 - $42.48/hour
