Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Position Summary
Provide skilled physical therapy support under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence through therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, and functional activities.
- Assist with transfers, positioning, and use of therapeutic equipment.
- Monitor patient response and progress during treatment.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and home programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the Physical Therapist.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and clinical standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and active state PTA license or certification.
- Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and as part of a healthcare team.
Pay Rate
$41.41 - $46.29/hour
