Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Position Summary
Provide hands-on rehabilitation support under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence through individualized therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.
- Assist patients with transfers, gait training, balance, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and home programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and facility policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license or certification in the applicable state.
- Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Pay Rate
$37.60 - $42.48/hour
