Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist patients with therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and help individuals improve mobility, function, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility programs
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient responses, and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist with the use of therapeutic equipment and mobility devices
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Promote patient independence and functional recovery through evidence-based rehabilitation practices
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient care practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
