Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments, injuries, and movement disorders. The Physical Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility, reduce pain, improve functional independence, and enhance overall quality of life while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical function, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and rehabilitation needs
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, manual therapy, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions
- Assess and recommend assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and mobility aids
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, and fall prevention
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate rehabilitation services
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, and rehabilitation principles
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing, home health, orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, or geriatric settings
- Previous travel or contract therapy experience preferred
- Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and medically complex patient populations
- Board certification or specialty certification (OCS, Company, GCS, SCS, or PCS) preferred
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered care skills
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
