Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The RN will monitor maternal and fetal conditions, assist with deliveries, and support safe outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery.
Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, vital signs, and other clinical indicators.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
Assist physicians and providers during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Provide pre-delivery, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum nursing care.
Recognize and respond to changes or complications in maternal or fetal condition.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
Assist with newborn care and initial assessments as directed.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses.
Maintain infection control, patient safety, and obstetric care standards.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Nursing degree from an accredited program.
Previous Labor and Delivery, obstetric, or maternal-child nursing experience preferred.
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
BLS and appropriate obstetric certifications as required for the role.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.

Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
