Duties and Responsibilities

Assigned to programs and initiatives under the direction of relevant leads within each discrete initiative, Project Managers will provide project-level support for key workstreams within complex direct service programs.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Supporting all aspects of the project lifecycle for assigned workstreams, including planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery

  • Developing and maintaining templates and tools to track project progress, collect project metrics, and manage dissemination of project status updates

  • Monitoring project progress and deliverables; proactively identifying and escalating risks and issues

  • Serving as a point of contact for NYC Health Hospitals departments, City agencies, and contracted vendors

  • Assisting with planning and conducting trainings, including development of required training materials

  • Providing on-site support related to project implementation and oversight

  • Providing policy and operational guidance and contributing to strategies that improve service delivery within assigned workstreams

  • Assisting with invoice review and approval and providing recommendations related to budget planning

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently while leading change within a collaborative team environment

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative, effective working relationships with diverse individuals, groups, and organizations

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor technical material to varied audiences (e.g., administrative and technical leadership, front-line staff)

  • High level of accuracy, transparency, accountability, and attention to detail

  • Flexibility and a strong, enthusiastic work ethic

  • Experience managing multiple external contractors and vendors strongly preferred

  • Fluency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, preferred

  • NYC area residency preferred

Experience and Education

  • Minimum of 3 years of program or project management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience working with the Department of Education, Administration for Children’s Services, or other educational programs preferred

  • Experience working with educators, administrators, case management staff, parents, children, and/or community-based organizations or non-profits preferred

Pay Rate
$83.58 - $88.46/hour
