Progressive Care RN
Position Summary
We are seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care. The RN will assess patients, administer treatments, monitor cardiac and vital signs, and respond to changes in condition.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ physical and clinical conditions.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen levels, and other clinical indicators.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Provide care for patients with complex or unstable medical conditions.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Manage oxygen therapy and other supportive treatments as required.
- Assist with procedures and patient transfers as appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and clinical care standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Previous Progressive Care, PCU, step-down, telemetry, or acute care experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or required based on role requirements.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
