Progressive Care RN
Position Summary
We are seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care. The RN will assess patients, monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms, administer treatments, and respond to changes in condition.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other clinical indicators.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Provide care for patients with complex medical and cardiac needs.
- Assist with procedures and clinical interventions as required.
- Manage oxygen therapy and other supportive treatments.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection control, safety, and patient-care standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous PCU, step-down, telemetry, ICU, or acute-care experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- BLS and ACLS certification as applicable.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
