Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist / MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using Computed Tomography (CT) and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment. The technologist will ensure patient safety and comfort while producing accurate diagnostic images and collaborating with radiologists and the healthcare team to support quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and/or MRI examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate, monitor, and maintain CT and/or MRI equipment
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Review image quality and repeat scans when necessary to obtain diagnostic results
- Verify patient identity and maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Follow radiation safety practices for CT and MRI safety guidelines for MRI procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any operational issues
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- Advanced ARRT certification in CT and/or MRI preferred or required based on assignment
- Active state licensure where required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT and/or MRI experience preferred
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, imaging protocols, contrast administration, and patient care
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARRT (CT) and/or ARRT (MR) certification
- Experience in hospital, trauma, emergency, or outpatient imaging settings
- Previous travel or contract imaging experience preferred
- IV contrast administration experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules as required
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail
Pay Rate
$83.33 - $88.21/hour
