Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient to evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, sports-related, and musculoskeletal conditions. The Physical Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility, reduce pain, improve strength and function, and help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility interventions
- Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, post-operative, sports medicine, and chronic pain conditions
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, ergonomics, and wellness strategies
- Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices, orthotics, and adaptive equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation
- Experience with manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise programs
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic clinics, sports medicine, or private practice settings
- Previous travel or contract therapy experience preferred
- Board Certification (OCS, SCS, Company, GCS, or PCS) preferred
- Certifications in manual therapy, dry needling, vestibular rehabilitation, or other specialty areas preferred
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to patient-centered care
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
