Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Position Summary
Provide skilled physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Help patients improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence through individualized therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait, balance, mobility, and functional training.
- Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and safety.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and therapy standards.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support patient goals.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state PTA license or certification.
- Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong patient-care, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
Pay Rate
$45.08 - $49.96/hour
