Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. The PTA will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and educate patients on safe movement and exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments according to established care plans.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, and strengthening activities.
  • Perform gait, balance, transfer, and mobility training.
  • Monitor patient response and progress during treatment.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility techniques.
  • Use appropriate therapeutic equipment and modalities.
  • Document treatments and patient responses accurately.
  • Communicate patient progress and concerns to the Physical Therapist.
  • Follow safety, infection control, and clinical standards.

Qualifications

  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or certification as required by the state.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Previous PTA experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Pay Rate
$41.28 - $46.16/hour
