Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitation services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional mobility, monitor responses to treatment, and promote safe and independent functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, strengthening, stretching, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions.
  • Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and appropriate assistive devices.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, safety, and home programs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
  • Document treatment sessions accurately and timely in the EMR.
  • Participate in patient care planning and interdisciplinary communication.
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Active PTA license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation, mobility, and patient safety.
  • Excellent communication, organization, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in acute care, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, SNF, or home health settings.
  • Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, or medically complex patients.
  • Strong knowledge of gait training, balance activities, transfers, and assistive devices.
  • Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Pay Rate
$41.28 - $46.16/hour
