Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in providing rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or physical disabilities. The PTA will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions.
  • Assist patients in improving strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment responses to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe use of assistive devices.
  • Document treatments, patient progress, and outcomes accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Prepare treatment areas and maintain therapy equipment in a safe and organized condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapist Assistant experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, patient mobility, and safe patient handling.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$39.00 - $43.88/hour
