Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to assist licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care. The PTA will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence while ensuring safe and effective patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions.
  • Assist patients in improving strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or treatment response to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safe mobility techniques, and use of assistive devices.
  • Maintain accurate treatment documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure therapy equipment is clean, safe, and properly maintained.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapist Assistant experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, patient mobility, and safe patient handling.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$39.00 - $43.88/hour
