Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to assist in providing high-quality rehabilitation services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions.
  • Assist patients in improving strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safe mobility techniques, and injury prevention.
  • Assist with the use of assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and mobility aids.
  • Maintain accurate treatment documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation techniques, patient mobility, and functional training.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$33.68 - $38.56/hour
